Bay Time Wins OP Flounder Tournament

Bay Time Wins OP Flounder Tournament

Today was day two of the Ocean City Marlin Club’s Heels and Reel’s Tournament with scales action and Atlantic Tackle in West Ocean City.  The ladies had an awesome time and released a bunch of white marlin. They also brought some nice tuna and mahi back to the dock.  Here are the results with payout amounts. Big thanks to Amanda Shick from the Ocean City marlin club for the pics.

Today was also the one  and only fishing day for the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce Flounder tournament.   Fin McCabe was fishing on board Bay Time Charters with Captain Brad McCabe when he landed a 19 11/16″ flounder good enough for first place and a little over $1000.  The crew also caught another three keeper flounder and about 45 throwbacks on live minnows.

Captain John Prather of Ocean City guide service found a couple of Flounder this morning too. Captain John put his anglers on two keeper fish of 19 1/2″ and 21 1/2″.

Last, but certainly not least, I had a chance to fish on the Bay Bee  this afternoon with my brothers from Sigma Pi fraternity  at Towson State University.  We’ve been doing this trip for nine years now and we always have a great time. Dan Beegle  won the money for the biggest fish and JP Garvin won the money for the first fish and for the most fish with five throwback Flounder. It may be hard to believe, but this fish was worth $175. I told him he should be embarrassed as I handed him all the cash.
