Washington Tuna

By Scott Lenox

Washington Tuna

Today the story was once again the tuna and dolphin in the Washington canyon.  Yellowfin in the 30-60# class are out there with a few throwback size fish mixed in as well.  The dolphin bite is improving also, with several gaffer size fish being caught amongst the yellowfin.  We have also seen the first bigeye of the season and it seems at least one boat a day now is lucky enough to land one.  The bigeye seem to be from 75 to as large as 150 pounds.

Captain Mark Hoos and mate Mark Stephens on the Marli out of Sunset Marina put Mike Bostic and his crew from Church Hill, MD on 6 nice yellowfin and 3 nice gaffer dolphin in the Washington.

It’s easy for you to book your offshore trip….just email [email protected] or call 410-430-1016 and we’ll hook you up with the perfect boat!
