Captain Dave Hagner
Talbot Street Pier, Downtown Ocean City
Largest fish ever caught on rod and reel out of Ocean City, MD.
Designed by Ray Hunt and built by Richard Bertram, the 31 was in production for 25 years.
Re-powered in 2014 with new twin Cummins the Lisa cruises fast and is quiet and smoke free. With a flat open cockpit and fighting chair, she is designed for the battle of a lifetime. Her tuna tower ensures we have the best view, and her state of the art electronics make sure we stay on the fish! With a full head and cabin for napping once worn out from fishing, she’s the perfect classic battlewagon.
Captain Stu Windsor has been catching fish all of his life.
He purchased a 1972 – 31′ Bertram in the mid 70’s and began “Charter the Lisa”. In 1983 he was featured in Field and Stream and later that year he caught the biggest fish ever to be taken in Maryland.
Captain Stu personally takes care of his charter customers. Not only does he own the charter business, he also runs the boat every day. He ensures the best possible fishing experience.
Grace Czemick of Cheektowago, NY caught this 1210 lb. tiger shark off of Ocean City, MD. It is the largest fish ever taken in Maryland. She was fishing aboard the “Lisa” with her husband, Tony, Karl Oestering, Captain Stu Windsor and mate Jim Liberto on July 9th, 1983.
The shark was hooked 27 miles offshore in 22 fathoms of water. Mrs. Czerniak fought the shark for 3 1/2 hours. There were no scales large enough to weight the fish in Ocean City. The shark was transported to a near-by poultry plant for weighing.
