30# monofilament, one 4/0 octopus hook

The One Drop tautog / sheepshead rig is made with 30-pound monofilament and one 4/0 octopus style hook.  One dropper loop extends from the main leader to hold the hook and a loop is tied at the bottom for a sinker.

This rig works well for tautog/blackish, sheepshead, sea bass and other fish that frequent structure.  Bait the hook with sand fleas, shrimp, crab or clam.
