It was a little breezy today, but nothing that slowed down fishing interests. If anything, it helped keep things cool so there were plenty of folks out on the water.
Captain Alex Beane and the crew of Boss Hogg had a fantastic day of offshore trolling yesterday when they released 13 white marlin and a blue marlin for their very happy anglers.
Anglers fishing on board the Spring Mix II with Captain Chris Watkowski and mate Ben Harding had a good day offshore with 48 mahi for the fish cleaners.
The crew of the MARLI with Captain Mark Hoos found the mahi too and loaded the dock at Sunset Marina.
Captain Tony Battista of Saltwater Adventures had a great morning with a keeper flounder and a slot rockfish of 28.5″.
Mark Logullo caught this 28.5″ keeper rockfish while “dredging” at the Route 50 bridge.
Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported a decent bite today with some nice sea bass and several keeper flounder.
