16,000 Baby!

16,000 Baby!

The crew of the Morning Star with Captain Monty Hawkins is doing some awesome work for the Ocean City Reef Foundation.  This past weekend Captain Monty and crew dropped block # 16,000 from the deck of the Morning Star.  Valentine’s Day was no different for the guys as they traded flowers and candy for steel and concrete and dropped some more structure to help build Ocean City’s reefs and help future fishermen reap the rewards of valuable substrate.  Nick Denny took some great shots of the work and also got a couple of shots of a seal hanging out by the south jetty on the way out the inlet.  If you’d like to make a donation, buy OCRF charts or find out more about the Ocean City Reef Foundation in general you can visit www.ocreefs.org
