Today was the third and final day of the 2026 Captain Steve Harman Poor Girl’s Open ladies only billfish tournament and it was another exciting finish! We didn’t see our first boat until after 6 PM this evening, but after that there was some awesome action at the scales. The crew of the Playmate rolled in with three white marlin releases and a blue marlin release and thanks to an earlier time on releases, they moved into first place in the billfish release category. Not only was their blue marlin caught by a cancer survivor, she is also currently in treatment. An awesome story and a fantastic finish to the 2026 PGO! Here are your 2026 winners.
Captain Dale Lisi and the crew of Foolish Pleasures had a nice day in the deep today with a pile of blueline tilefish, some big sea bass and a couple of mahi up to 29 pounds.
Caleb Powell and Kellan McAleer caught four keeper flounder from 17.5″ to 19″ on live bunker this afternoon.
Brian Yacimowicz and Kurt Greening had some fun putting some “peanut” mahi on ice this morning.
