2026 Tuna & Tiaras Results

The 2nd and final day of the 2026 Tuna & Tiaras ladies only tuna tournament is in the books and it was another busy day at the scales.  This year 72 boats were competing for over $156,000 in prize money and also supporting a great cause in Women Supporting Women. Congratulations to the winners and to Pam Taylor and her crew for putting on an awesome event.  Here are the top finishers.

Captain Chase Eberle’s crew with some of their 91 pound stringer caught with Chasin’ Tides Charters.

Captain Tony Battista on Saltwater Adventures has seen some good fishing the past few days.  Tracy and Diane Gatdula had some really nice sea bass with Captain Tony, and today it was some bluefish, a triggerfish and keeper flounder to 25.5″ and 5.25 pounds.

Anglers fishing on board the Angler with Captain Chris Mizurak had some good fishing today with plenty of keeper sea bass and some keeper flounder in the mix.

Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star reported a beautiful day with decent fishing for sea bass with some flounder caught as well

Sea Bass 6/13/26 – Gorgeous Day..
((Ever the expert promotor, owing air show weekend I did open Sunday (6/14/26) (tomorrow) to a regular trip but didn’t announce it. Half the boat is open! See morningstarfishing.com for booking info.))
Weatherman held “caution” warranted for north winds with gusts to 20 this am. Was supposed to lay down soon after so not a real worry. Turned out calm as one could hope – near perfect. I don’t think we had 10 knots all day.
Bob & Isaac did the deed on today’s terracotta unit. It hadn’t hit bottom before we were underway again heading off.
Bite today was no repeat of yesterday’s ‘do no wrong’ fishing. A nice day with a mediocre bite was the best I could muster. Then, an hour into overtime, a decent bite. I expect they’ll chew right til sundown today. We just won’t be there!
Bob has volunteered numerous times for reef duty on big projects, been high hook IDK how many times over the years
..yet never pocketed the pool money.
I suppose pushing that terracotta unit over gave him an extra dose of reef builder’s karma this day.
Worked.
Zig was high hook with 9 cbass and the largest flounder. Won a t-shirt anyway!
Cheers,
Monty
