Scales have officially closed on the 6th and final day of the 53rd Annual White Marlin Open and it was another exciting event with over $9.9 Million in prize money. 334 boats competed this week and for the first time in the history of the WMO there was a boat waiting at the scales every day at 4 PM. Some of those boats stayed on the leaderboard through scales close at 9:15 tonight and are winning very big checks tomorrow. Congratulations to all of the winner and to the White Marlin Open organizers and staff on a very successful 2026 event. Many thanks to the White Marlin Open for the pics throughout the week! Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides Charters had a nice day for this charter putting them on two keeper sized bluefin tuna.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a couple of good trips in the OC inlet today with some nice sheepshead and some big spot.
Anglers fishing with Captain Will Poole of Local Hooker Fishing Charters had a good day with both keeper flounder and keeper sheepshead.
