318 Boats and $8.5 Million in 2024 White Marlin Open

Hit the vid for the Daily Catch at Sunset Marina!!

I just got back from Sunset Marina where there was some pretty wicked thunderstorm activity to our south.  The docks were buzzing and everyone seems super excited about the start of the 51st Annual White Marlin Open tomorrow.  The tournament has been extended by a day until Saturday, August 10th to allow 3 of 6 days of fishing because of an unfavorable forecast.  All things considered it is a fantastic turnout with 318 boats and $8.5 Million in prize money!  You can check out all six days live as the Hooked on OC crew and I bring it to you at www.WhiteMarlinOpen.com

Away from tournament prep there wasn’t a whole lot going on, but there were a couple of flounder caught in the back bay.  Rich Daiker and Will Schindler had three nice keepers and a bonus bluefish at the route 50 bridge today.

Kenn Schoen and 89 year old “Ohio” Joe Gezymalla had two nice keepers as well with the biggest fish being 22″.

Check out a flounder limit from last week…..Subscribe!!
