64 Boats and Over $125,000 in 4th Annual Tuna & Tiaras Tournament

I just got home from a pretty awesome afternoon of fishing and fun on board the Bay Bee with Captain Wes Jackson followed by some food and drinks at Micky Fins at the Ocean City Fishing Center.  We filmed an episode of Hooked on OC on board the Bay Bee with our son Ryan and some of his buddies from the Class of 2025 at Worcester Prep.  Ryan was joined by Dillon, Owen, Edward, Alexi, Mike, Lucas, Nathan and Ben and we all had a great time!  There were several throwback flounder caught, but top fish honors went to Mike with a 17.5″ keeper, Alexi with an 18.5″ keeper and Edward with a very nice 20.5″ keeper that was just under 4 pounds.  Many thanks to Captain Wes and the crew of the Bay Bee for a great trip!

Leaving the parking lot at the OC Fishing Center I spoke to Tuna and Tiaras Tournament Director Pam Taylor who informed me that this year’s Tuna & Tiaras has 64 boats entered and over $125,000 in prize money.  Awesome stuff!  Good luck to all of the ladies and teams fishing this year’s event!

Ryan Mead reported in that he and his crew had two white marlin releases today along with a big 91 pound yellowfin tuna.  Craig Grass caught and released his first white marlin ever.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler had a decent day of bottom fishing on the ocean today putting his folks on some good sea bass, some very nice flounder and one big tautog release.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break had a great day of fishing today putting his groups on flounder, rockfish and some very nice bluefish action.

Before jumping on the Bay Bee trip this afternoon, Owen West fished the route 50 bridge where he caught and released this nice 36″ rockfish on a live spot.

Big Bird Cropper had a nice day with the blues and rockfish at the route 50 bridge.

Michael Marisa fished the route 50 bridge with swim shads and caught some big bluefish to over 30″.

Josh Rosenberger caught two 18″ flounder while fishing with captain Lance Biesecker, Karen Biesecker and Faith Rosenberger on private boat The Line Dancer.

The cow nosed and southern rays wish Captain Marc Spagnola would have stayed on vacation, but alas, Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing is back on the water and the shooting is good.

David Moore had an epic day of surf fishing Assateague Island when he landed 8 red drum, 3 blacktip sharks, 3 sandbar sharks and countless kingfish.
