We had a reely calm day in and around Ocean City, but it was also reely foggy!! It was socked in from the ocean all the way out to Berlin where I was today, but it sounded like once you got out a little in the ocean it cleared nicely and was flat calm. That’s where Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star headed this morning and it was worth the trip.
Hi Scott….
Sea bass are really moving offshore. We got into a nice grade of fish, but had to set a record for fuel consumption.
Will be announcing more December trips via email ‘Fish Report’ and Facebook as weather allows.
Chris Bogan of Lewes, DE took our sea bass pool today with an 18 incher. He also would have won a Flounder pool too – if we had one. Chris caught the biggest flounder on my boat this year – a 27 inch 7.5 pounder. Denny Newman of Brandywine, MD nearly limited on cbass and was quite pleased with his first tog, a legal crab-eater he caught on a diamond jig. David Confair of Secretary, MD and Dale Swann of Waldorf, MD both limited on sea bass. Dale also had the largest bluefish on my boat this year, a 35 inch 15 pounder. Bob Hauser of Carlisle PA also had a good day on sea bass.
Cheers
Monty
