I just got back from a late night after a busy week for the 2018 MidAtlantic and got a chance to see some big checks handed out. It was an exciting week of fishing that ended today with all 157 boats that were entered in the tournament fishing to get themselves on the leaderboard. We had some more big tunas weighed as well as some dolphin and wahoo, but the big news of the day was a new leader in the white marlin category that would win over $900,000 in prize money. Rick Weber and his crew put on an awesome event that I and the Hooked on OC crew are glad to be a part of. Here are the winners of the 2018 MidAtlantic.

Outside of the tournament there was some stellar flounder fishing on the inshore wrecks and reefs by the ocean goin party boat fleet. Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported that the flounder were “chewing” today and had several anglers get their four fish limit.

Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star also reported good flounder fishing with some nice, big fish coming over the rail. Pictured are Randall “Rob” Savage Of Riva, MD – Ron Wright Of Hale-Thorpe, MD – Bill Lane of Spring Brook Township, PA w/today’s 22 inch pool winner, Jay Gorkawski of Avoca, PA, & Ronald Gordy of Salisbury, MD with some nice fish from today’s catch.

Captain Mark Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing had some great shooting today in the back bay. Captain Mark put this crew on some terrific action for cow nosed and southern rays.
