Well it’s still windy…..and its going to be for a few more days. The weather forecast that I heard this morning was to expect a southeasterly flow through at least Wednesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms pretty much every day with the highest chance on Wednesday. Right now it looks like it settle down by the weekend which is good news for the 5th Annual Big Fish Classic at Talbot Street.
Captain John Prather of Ocean City Guide Service said is wasn’t as suck ass as yesterday, but it was still windy with tough conditions. Captain John caught a bunch of throwback flounder on today’s trip and several keeper sized croaker over the 9″ minimum.
Yesterday Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing toughed out the windy conditions and found some good action for cow nosed and southern rays for his anglers.
My buddy David Wells from DW Mowing and his friend Stout hit the local pond today since they couldn’t get out flounder fishing and were rewarded with some nice catch and release large mouth bass fishing. He made me a sweet collage to commemorate the day.
Update on Blume’s Balloon Round Up……there are now 76 boats participating in the summer long balloon round up initiative put together by Joshua and Emily Blume and to date there have been 623 balloons removed from the ocean or waterways. The kids set a goal of 1,000 balloons by September 30 and I’m confident they are going to crush it!
