Keeper Flounder and Tog in the Bay

Keeper Flounder and Tog in the Bay

As the weather and water temperatures continue to cool off the flounder will be leaving the bay as more tautog move into it.  We get to enjoy a window of time where the water temps are just right to have flounder and tautog in good numbers in the back bays of Ocean City, and if you know where to fish you can find keeper size fish in both species.

Captain John Prather on Ocean City Guide Service knows where to fish and has been having some good luck with both species.  Yesterday Captain John put his crew on a couple of keeper flounder at the route 50 bridge.

Today it was tautog time and Captain John had a good bite with keeper size fish at the south jetty and just off of the rocks at Martha’s Landing.  The fish were enticed by cut green crabs.
