Sunset Provisions in West Ocean City has tackle too!
We had a beautiful day today with sunny skies, warmer than expected temperatures and little wind for most of the day. It was a great day to get out on the water and do some fishing!
Brian Brannan sent me a text at 9:41 this morning with a photo of the first grey trout, or weakfish that I’ve seen this year. It was a really nice fish too at 27.5″! The big “weakie” ate a pink and white Gulp on a Deadly Tackle Deadly Double in pink in the Thorofare.
Josh Cole caught this 17″ keeper flounder on a chartreuse Deadly Tackle Deadly Double fishing on the Break a Leg in the Thorofare.
Rachel Preston caught her first ever flounder in OC’s back bay today.
Big Bird Cropper and Shaun Flaherty had an epic day of fishing the south jetty and route 50 bridge today. The guys released a bunch of small rockfish, Big Bird caught a 21″ keeper flounder on a Roy Rig and they had two keeper rockfish of 30″ and 31″ while “dredging” the route 50 bridge. Bird also caught and released a beautiful 37″ rockfish on a Roy Rig!
Jeff and Kelly Weeks had a nice day at the south jetty releasing a bunch of short tautog and catching these two keepers of 16.75” and 17.5”.
