The highly sought after First White Marlin of the Season was caught and released today by the crew of the Restless Lady II with Captain Chris Huk at the helm. Chris’s dad Joe was on the rod for the first white of the season and they will be awarded $5,000 from the Town of Ocean City for their catch. Restless Lady II is not a member of the Ocean City Marlin Club so the $5,000 from the OCMC is still up for grabs. The fish was caught on a spreader bar in the Baltimore Canyon.
The crew of Reel Chaos out of Sunset Marina had a fantastic day with the tunas today putting a spread of 19 yellowfin tuna across the dock.
Garrett Gertz reported in that the Rumor Has It out of the Ocean City Fishing Center had an awesome day of tuna fishing today with this lineup on the dock and back to the inlet by noon.
Young Reece Schindler had an awesome day of fishing with Rich Daiker today when he caught and released this 42″ striped bass at the south jetty. Reece also caught a 10.8 pound bluefish that is currently in the lead for the Blues For D.U. Bluefish Tournament.
Big Bird Cropper and Shaun Flaherty had a nice day with the blues and the rock. Shaun caught and released a 37″ rockfish at the south jetty, Bird caught a nice speckled trout at the “sandbar” and the guys are in 3rd place in the Blues for D.U. Bluefish Tournament.

1st Place – Reece Schindler – 10.8 Lbs
2nd Place – Tyler Clazey – 9.1 Lbs
3rd Place – Big Bird Cropper – 8.6 Lbs
Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler was happy to get out to the ocean today even if the weather won’t allow it the rest of the weekend. He reported a good bite for sea bass with some nice fish in the mix.
