Route 90 Rockfish

By Scott Lenox

Route 90 Rockfish

The fishing for rockfish at the route 90 bridge in the bay behind Ocean City is picking up all the time. 4 year old Grayson Woolridge was fishing with his dad John and was able to catch and release his first two rockfish of the spring season. The fish were caught trolling plugs in 54 degree water. Way to go Grayson!!

With water temperatures in the mid 50’s I would bet there are some flounder around as well. They’ll be found in shallower water this time of year, and as long as the water is clean, they can be caught on high or low tide. Shiners and live minnows are going to work best, as those are the baitfish that are around right now.

If you’d like your catch reported in the Daily Angle here at FishinOC.com send a report and a photo to [email protected] and I’ll get the word out.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
