It was a warm one out there today. I know because I was sweating my ass off cleaning my gutters and power washing my deck. I wanted to be out on the bay trying for some of these flounder, but honey-dos first. I had a feeling I would get some messages today when I got a text from Rich Daiker pretty early with a picture of a flounder with a Deadly Double hanging out of it’s mouth.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had Mike Ardente and his crew from Limerick, PA on board today and they had a good time catching some fish. Mike and crew had two keeper flounder and some tautog action for a great day on the water.
Scott Rohrbaugh sent in this photo of the largest flounder I’ve seen so far this season that measured up at 23″. The nice flattie was caught on a swimbait that Scott was casting at the Route 90 bridge for stripers.
Jordan, LeAndra and Matt had a good time catching and releasing some stripers down by the Verrazano Bridge behind Assateague Island.
James Koulepis and his crew had three keeper flounder from the Thorofare today with fish hitting the cooler of 18″, 18″ and 19″.
Donny Post was fishing behind Assateague Island with Deadly Doubles when he caught this windowpane flounder.
