Sharks at the Jetty

By Scott Lenox

Sharks at the Jetty

It was a pretty windy one out there today so most of the ocean going boats decided to stay tied fast to the dock.  There was some bay fishing to be had and that has been pretty good lately.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had two trips today.  This morning’s trip produced sheepshead and flounder and this afternoon’s trip produced flounder, croaker and some fun sandbar shark releases.

Yesterday, Donny Post and his crew fished the OC inlet where they caught a nice grey trout on a live bunker and the Route 50 bridge where they caught a throwback bicycle.

Yesterday, the crew of the Spring Mix II with Captain Chris Watkowski and mate Ben Harding had a nice day with a white marlin release and some mahi mahi.  Spring Mix II is looking for a couple of anglers for a make up trip this Thursday.  Get in touch if you’d like to do some September offshore fishing.
