Today started off cloudy, but calm and by the end of the day it was the opposite with sunshine and a pretty stiff northwest breeze. I hit the south jetty for some tautog action, releasing 5 and catching one keeper sized fish and I was glad to see the party boats were out on the ocean.
Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported that it wasn’t the nicest day on the ocean today, but the sea bass were hungry and there were some very nice fish brought on board.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters continued his run of putting folks on some very nice red drum today with a very nice 45″ release, and also added some tautog and a sheepshead from the south jetty.
