Do you know what you do when you run an inshore charter boat that fishes every day and you basically haven’t seen your new wife for four months and you finally get a day off to spend with her? YOU GO FISHING!! That’s exactly what Captain John Prather on Ocean City Guide Service did today. Captain John had an opportunity to enjoy a day off with his lovely wife Amanda and his dog Jetty, and they put the kibosh on some flounder on an inshore wreck. They fished strip baits and caught a limit of keeper flounder for themselves including a nice 6 pounder. I can’t think of a better way to spend a day off.
I got reports from a couple of offshore boats that fished yesterday that had good days out on the ocean. Captain Jeremy Blunt on board the Wrecker out of The Ocean City Fishing Center had a good day, and a first for the boat. Wrecker caught 29 mahi and had two spearfish releases in the same day. Pretty work!
The Boss Hogg out of Sunset Marina has been having some luck with the billfish offshore recently. Here are some recent white marlin releases and yesterday’s sailfish with mate Uncle Buck.
