The ocean was still roughed up enough to keep the bottom fishing fleet tied to the dock, but there were a few boats fishing the back bay and OC Inlet for what has been some really good fall fishing.
Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run agrees that the fishing in the OC Inlet has been good later into the fall this year and today he took advantage of it again. Captain Dave put his anglers on some good fishing at the south jetty putting black drum and sheepshead in the box and releasing a bunch of tautog and some black drum.
