ALL CAPS

ALL CAPS

I usually try to pick the best photo from the day for the feature image of the Daily Angle and in my mind this is the best photo of the day.  When I was a kid my grandfather Kenny Wilkinson ran the parking at the old Capital Centre in Landover, MD where the Washington Capitals used to play their home games so I was a “CAPS” fan from before I can remember.  We used to go to games and enter through the team entrance and we even went into the locker room on occasion.  My nephew Christopher was killed back in 2009 and was buried with his Washington Capitals jersey…..my sister still displays the one she has signed by Alex Ovechkin…..to say that I’m excited about the possibility of the CAPS winning their first Stanley Cup couldn’t be more of an understatement.  Congratulations should go out to both teams for making it to the final…….but GO CAPS!!!!!

The Capitals Jersey in the feature image tonight must have been lucky for Captain John Prather and both of his parties on board Ocean City Guide Service today.  Captain John drifted the north end of the main channel and got the CAPS fans three nice keeper flounder this morning and then it was on to the south bay this afternoon for four more keepers.

Another Washington Capitals fan that will be watching intently tonight is Captain Jeremy Blunt from the charter boat Wrecker out of the Ocean City Fishing Center.  Captain Jeremy and mate Bobby Layton put their crew on some awesome tuna fishing when they boxed three “under” bluefin tuna and nine yellowfin tuna.

Captian Steve Moore of the Stalker was able to point the boat eastbound this morning and had some nice fish in the box when he pointed it back west this afternoon.  Captain Steve put four yellowfin tuna and three bluefin tuna in the box for his happy anglers.

Some more good tuna fishing was had by the crew of the All In with Captain Scott Stapleford at the helm.  The crew boxed their three “under” bluefin and released several others while trolling the offshore lumps.

Bear down at the Oceanic Pier sent me a couple of shots today of Freddy and Jamie who caught a couple of sharks in the surf off of 136 street.
