After a few days of snotty seas Mother Nature finally let the offshore fleet back into the canyons today and the tunafish were right where the guys had left them. It was right back to the Poor Man’s Canyon for most boats and although there weren’t as many bluefin in the mix, the yellowfin more than made up for it.
Captain Brandon Speilman of the Reel Direct out of the Ocean City Fishing Center had an awesome day on the yellowfin today putting 10 nice fish in the box.
Captain Jeremy Blunt on the Wrecker also out of the Ocean City Fishing Center had a great day with the yellowfin as well. Captain Jeremy put his crew on 8 yellowfin and a nice mahi.
Captain Jeremy had his largest catch to date yesterday on an inshore shark trip when he landed this huge yellow duck.
Rhonda’s Osprey with Captain Joe Drosey out of Sunset Marina had a good day in the Poor Man’s today putting his crew on 7 keeper yellowfin and 4 under yellowfin that were released.
The crew of Spring Mix II with Captain Chris Watkowski and mate Ayrton “The Kayak Kid” Pryor were on the yellowfin today too. Spring Mix II boxed three yellowfin tuna and released 8 shorts.
Kyle Breitzke and his crew fished out of the Ocean City Fishing Center today and had a banner day. Kyle and his crew had nonstop action all day releasing countless throwback yellowfin and putting 15 in the box.
The Angler with Captain Chris Mizurak reported bumpy conditions for sea bassing today, but the Angler did see some nice fish come over her rail.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a good day casting the OC inlet today when he put his clients on four large snapper bluefish and seven released rockfish.
Captain Drew Zerbe of the Tortuga had a good day of flounder fishing today catching keepers on all three of his trips. This morning Captain Drew had an angler return exactly four years after he had a successful trip catching two keepers and he caught two more keepers today.
