Leaving the neighborhood this morning we had to wait behind a bus for the first time in months. Glad to do it as the local kids head back to school for the year and things get less busy on the street and on the water.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break had a great trip this morning where he caught a load of flounder in the OC Inlet and East Channel areas. Four nice keepers went in the box to the delight of his anglers.
Marlon Carr was fishing the jetty with Brock Michael this morning when he landed this very nice 24″ sheepshead. The big sheep weighed in at just under 10 pounds on the scale at Bahia Marina.
Captain Kane Bounds and the crew of the Fish Bound have had some fantastic fishing the past week. Boat limits of both flounder and sea bass have been the norm coming into what is Captain Kane’s favorite time of year. Mine too!
