It was an absolutely beautiful day in Ocean City today! It was pretty windy this morning which made for a rough start to the day for the local party boats and the south jetty was pretty much unfishable, but no rain for once was an awesome thing.
The party boat Angler with Captain Chris Mizurak had a good day on the ocean with the sea bass today. Captain Chris reported a good sea bass bite on an ocean wreck with several limits on the boat. The biggest fish went 3.5 pounds.
Wes Pollitt from the Morning Star with Captain Monty Hawkins also reported a good sea bass bite today despite the rough conditions to start the day. Wes reported several limits of sea bass today as well with a couple of keeper tautog mixed in. The fish were caught on ocean wrecks today and though it started out a little rough it laid out this afternoon.
Bear at the Oceanic Pier reported some more good bluefish action at the pier today and last night. If you are there for when the bite “turns on” fish are coming over the rail about every 30 seconds. There are tautog being caught during the day and there are also some shad and short rockfish mixed in with the bluefish.
