Boy it rained today in Ocean City…..A LOT!! The wind blew too….neither was quite as bad as the weatherman forecasted, but it still kept most people from exploring their fishing interests. It was a good day to get some inside chores done, do some shopping or take in a movie….the theatre was packed!
I got a few reports from some anglers that have gotten out in the past few days before this rain and had some pretty good luck.
Brian Roberts of the Huk Big Fish Classic was fishing the Virginia barrier islands this week and had some awesome luck with the drum. Brian caught seven red drum and five black drum on peeler crabs including this beauty.
The crew of the Talkin Trash returned last night after a trip beyond the Washington canyon with a nice mid May catch. The Talkin Trash had two yellowfin tuna of 35 and 45 pounds and two mahi, one of which weighed 15 pounds.
The party boat Ocean Princess with Captain Victor Bunting had a great day yesterday with the sea bass. The Ocean Princess reported that most anglers had their limit, or close to it, and everyone caught fish.
Bear down at the Oceanic Pier reported that today was pretty much a wash also, but Bob from PA did have some luck this morning with the bluefish from the sea wall on the north side of the inlet.
