It’s time to start shopping Atlantic Tackle for their 12 Days of Christmas!!
I had the pleasure of fishing on board Foolish Pleasures with Captain Dale Lisi and the Vitak family today and it was absolutely phenomenal! We had our first bites at sunrise and then had nonstop action until we limited the box by 11:00 AM. We had three “under” fish of around 46″ each, we boxed one “over” fish at 67.5″ and 195 pounds and we caught two more “under” that we released. It was an awesome trip and should make for a great episode of Hooked on OC after the new year.
When we got back to Bahia Marina just after lunch we saw Captain Dave Caffrey and his crew on board On the Run Charters with a nice four fish limit of their own. On the Run had three “under” bluefins and one “over” fish, and also released an estimated 75″ fish beside the boat.
Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides Charters had a great day in the tuna grounds today as well putting two legal bluefins on the dock. The largest bluefin was 67″ and the crew also added a pile of tautog for good measure.
Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing even got in on today’s awesome tuna bite. Captain Marc fished with Steve and Anna on board the private boat Instigator and had awesome fishing that included four “over” fish. The harvested “over” was 70″ long and weighed in at 222 pounds.
