With 146 boats fishing day 2 of The MidAtlantic we had a feeling that it was going to be a busy day at both scales locations at the Canyon Club in Cape May, NJ and at Sunset Marina in Ocean City, MD. We had a lot of fish hit the dock in both ports and there was some real movement on the leaderboard. Some big dolphin hit the board and another white marlin, but the story was once again about the bigeye tunas that were brought in that bumped everyone in the tuna category off of the board. Here’s your leaders after two days of fishing. Thanks to the staff at Sunset Marina and The Canyon Club for the pics!

Outside of the tournament rough seas were reported from some of the inshore party boat fleet, but Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star had a nice catch with some rare fish for a party boat in these waters included. Angel Pope of Gouldsboro, PA caught a nice mahi on a spinning rod today.

Ken Donowski limited out on fluke today & won the fish pool with his 20.25 incher. NOT an easy feat in those seas..
Barb & Randy Roehl of OC, MD (18.5 in sea bass) – Dan & Fred Krupansky Of PA are pictured with some of today’s other action.

And Captain Monty saw a barracuda eat a wooden mullet that was then reeled in by Randy Roehl.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported rough seas today, but was still able to put some anglers on some nice flounder and sea bass for dinner.

Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing did what he does best and put some shooters on some great opportunities for southern rays in the south bay.
