Man, it is thunder storming outside my house right now! We shut the live broadcast of day 4 scales of The MidAtlantic Tournament a few minutes short thanks to a tornado warning in the area, but the damage to the leaderboard had already been done. We saw a new tuna, white marlin and big blue marlin hit the leaderboard today and lots of money changed hands as rain fell in both Ocean City, MD and Cape May, NJ. Tomorrow looks like a busy day with over 170 fish days left, so tomorrow could still be anybody’s ballgame. Here’s who’s leading The MidAtlantic after four days of fishing.
Tuna
1st Place Tie – Talkin’ Trash & Disciplined 182 Pounds
2nd Place – Following Seas 126 Pounds
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a fun day for his anglers today with some keeper bluefish, flounder, tautog, sheepshead and even a triggerfish.
Antonios Aikaterinidis caught this 33″ mahi at the Jackspot today.
Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported hot conditions and good fishing on today’s trip with plenty of sea bass and flounder with some mahi on the side.
Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star targeted mahi today and his anglers were happy he found them
