The rain and thunderstorms in the area continued again today, but there wasn’t too much wind around so it was very, very fishable. The good flounder bite in the ocean and the bay continued as well and we had a big blue marlin hit the dock at Sunset Marina.
Today was day 2 of the Jimmy Johnson Quest for the Ring based in Atlantic City with a satellite scale in Ocean City, Maryland and it was a good day to be on the Floor Reel. Captain Dave Warren, angler Luke Mitchell and the crew of the Floor Reel weighed in this big 510 pound blue marlin and launched themselves into first place after two days of fishing.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break had another nice day of back bay flounder fishing today with keepers on both of his family trips.

Anglers fishing aboard On the Run have been enjoying some great inshore fishing in both the ocean and the bay. Folks have gone home with flounder, trout, bluefish, ribbonfish and more after fun days on the water.

Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides Charters has been putting his clients on the fish over the past several trips to the ocean and the bay. Anglers are releasing some big sharks and boxing everything from sea bass and flounder to mahi and tuna.
