Big Bluefins Are Still Snapping

Boy, the wind is blowing now!  As I write this on Wednesday evening it’s really starting to puff outside with sustained winds of 25-30 with gusts to over 40 mph.  It eases up tomorrow a little bit, but the ocean won’t be fishable for a bit.  Good thing it was today.

Captain Chase Eberle and his crew on Chasin’ Tides Charters has had two good days of  bluefin tuna fishing in a row putting some very nice fish on the dock.  Today, Mark an Jordan Dean of Harrisburg, PA landed this beauty of a 67″, 182 pound bluefin and released another “over” fish.

Captain Willie Zimmerman and the crew of RoShamBo had a nice day with the bluefin tuna as well putting this 64″, 166 pound bluefin on the scale at the Ocean City Fishing Center.

Captain Dale Lisi of Foolish Pleasures is licensed for commercial harvest of bluefin tuna as well so today he and Captain Chris Watkowski of the Spring Mix II harvested this beautiful 82″ bluefin and took it to market.

Stripers are still snapping in the bay too….check it out!!
