I just got back from day 2 action for the 31st Annual Poor Girl’s Open and it was a very busy day at the scales. The only leaderboard position that didn’t change was the wahoo category and there were some very nice fish caught. We’ve got one day left with just over 50 boats left to do it, so good luck to anyone fishing on the final day tomorrow. Here’s who’s leading after two days of fishing. Many thanks to Sunset Marina for some of the pics.

Outside of the tournament there was some good bottom fishing for flounder over ocean structure for some boats. Courtney caught this big 8 pound flounder fishing with Mike Johnston today.

Rich Daiker had his limit of flounder at the route 50 bridge this afternoon and it included this nice fish estimated at 6 pounds.

Kevin McNelis and crew had a nice day today with 11 keeper flounder up to 23″.

This big triggerfish was submitted by Rich Keller today.

My little nephew Clarke Ridings fished his first ever ocean trip today and had a great time catching some Spanish mackerel and bluefish…..even though he threw up.

Ryan Lasek caught this pompano in the Assateague surf today.
