There was little breeze out of the south to deal with this afternoon, but other than that it was a beautiful day to be on the water. There was some trolling, some deep dropping and some bottom fishing and most everyone had fish to the boat.
The crew of the Spring Mix II with Captain Chris Watkowski, mate Ben Harding and anglers Ron Keller, Robbie Paquette, Noah Lebling and Paul Lebling had their first trip of the season and it was a successful one. The crew had two bluefin tuna for the fish box and one more that was released.
Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides Charters had a nice day in the deep for his crew today putting them on a tuna, some black belly rosefish, some golden tilefish and some big sea bass.
Anglers fishing on board the Ocean Princess with Captain Victor Bunting had a great trip to the tilefish grounds today with a load of fish coming over the rail. There were several limits of blue line tilefish with multiple fish over 10 pounds and up to 13 pounds, and there were also some double limits of blue line and golden tilefish for some committed anglers.

The McNelis boys got out on the ocean today to do some wreck fishing and had a great day of it. They ended the day with four keeper flounder from 18″ to 19.5″ and the first triggerfish that we’ve seen so far this year.
Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star had another successful trip on the ocean today with lots of quality sea bass going home with happy customers.
