Well it was another foggy day in and around Ocean City today. The sun did poke through for about 48 seconds in Ocean Pines, but OC was socked in for almost the entire day again. It’s really put a damper on fishing the past few days, but the weekend is on the horizon and then it will pick up.
The Restless Lady II out of the Talbot Street Pier was out in 30 fathoms today with a bachelor party and were able to put the guys on some meat. Captain Ed Kauffman and mate Bryan Hazard put the crew on three under bluefins and one over bluefin while also releasing another 15 bluefins. They were able to do this in short time too returning to the dock by 2:30 this afternoon.
Captain Brian Behe of Buffalo Hunter Guide Service took a day trip to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel today with Captain Rob Skillman and “Eastern Shore” Joey Marowski and had a good time. Captain Rob caught and released a stud red drum and Captain Brian caught and did not release a nice “eating sized” black drum.
Tomorrow is the first fishing day of the 22nd Annual Mako Mania Shark Tournament out of Bahia Marina. Scales will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 PM til 7 PM at Bahia on 22nd Street bayside. Good luck to all of the crews that are fishing the event….I’ll see you at the scales!
