The weatherman was calling for a pretty good chance of rain today, but where I was it never materialized. The humidity was way up, but the wind wasn’t too bad either so anglers were able to get out on the ocean and the bay. There were a couple of cobia caught just in the ocean and it sounds like there was a good bite on the chunk for bluefin tuna at Massey’s Canyon.
The Martin crew had a busy day of catching tuna with Captain Mark Hoos of the MARLI today. They combined forces to release a white marlin and box their limit of bluefin tuna with their “over” fish being a nice 112 pounder.

Captain Joe Drosey and the crew of Rhonda’s Osprey caught a couple of nice bluefins today as well. Rhonda’s Osprey’s under 47″ fish was a really nice one and their over 47″ fish was a 100 plus pounder.

Boss Hogg had a nice day of chunking the bluefins up at Massey’s canyon today filling a couple of wheel barrows when they returned to Sunset Marina.

Captain John Prather of Ocean City Guide Service had some good rod bending today when he put his group on a keeper flounder, a small shark and a 32″ cobia that was released after it ate a Z Man swim bait.

Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides Charters had two good trips today. One trip included a nice 38″ cobia release and some triggerfish and spadefish for the box. The other trip was a successful catch and release shark trip with lots of action on sand tigers and sharpnose sharks.
