The wind blew today son! It was not a great day to be on the water with white caps in lots of areas in the bay, and the ocean was pretty much off limits. Hopefully Mother Nature gets into a groove here soon and lets us get fishing because there’s lots out there to catch now.
There has been some a really good bluefish bite the past several day from Delaware all the way dow to the Verrazano bridge behind Assateague Island. Both Delaware and Maryland coastal tackle shops have seen an uptick in business thanks to these toothy critters showing up and anglers are really enjoying it. Justin Drost caught this very nice 33 3/8″ bluefish while fishing just off of Assateague Island on his jet ski.
Jacob Raber caught these two “chopper” bluefish in the surf and reported in to Fenwick Tackle.
Mitch Peck didn’t have any luck with the keepers, but he did catch several tog in the 15″ range that were released at Martha’s Landing.
