Today was day 1 of the 2nd Annual Ocean City Inshore Classic put on by Fish in OC and Hooked on OC and it was a busy one! We’ve got a great turnout with 30 boats fishing and we are going to pay out over $9,000 in prize money tomorrow night and today we got things off to a great start. We saw croaker, trout, sheepshead, bluefish, flounder and rockfish today and there were some nice fish weighed. Weighmaster Dean Lo of the Angler weighed 28 flounder today and only 1.5 pounds separated all of them. Here’s who’s on the leaderboard after day 1.

Here are some other shots of today’s action.

Away from the tournament David Beach was fishing his usual spot from shore today and put a couple of nice flounder in the cooler. David used live bunker to land fish of 19.5″ and 21.5″.

The Judith M traveled 18 miles offshore today and had a great day of sea bass fishing. Nearly everyone limited with a boat total of over 100 sea bass. Some nice trigger fish and a few small bluefish were in the mix. The fish were caught over natural bottom with squid and strip baits. The trip was part of Wayne Cawley’s (Denton MD) bachelor party weekend in Ocean City.
