It got pretty blustery out there this afternoon with strong winds out of the northeast and cool temperatures that had everyone putting their sweatshirts back on. It looks like we’ve got rain moving in overnight and that may stay through Sunday. It’s not the Memorial Day Weekend we hoped for, but we’ll make the most of it and get out when we can.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a good day of it today with some keeper fish for his charter. Lucky Break had some keeper flounder from the south bay and a 29″ striper and a keeper sheepshead from the OC Inlet.
Anglers fishing with Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters had a nice day with some keeper flounder from the south bay and some throwback rockfish action at the route 50 bridge.
Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing is back to burning the candle at both ends when the weather allows and his shooters have been rewarded with rays during the days and snakehead, catfish and gar at night.
