Catching Some Fish

Catching Some Fish

Spring officially arrived on March 20, and we are seeing more and more springy weather has we move into the season.  We’re also starting to see some more consistent fishing in the area after a long, cold, windy winter.

Captain Kane Bounds and the crew of Fish Bound had a great day on the ocean today with a boat limit of nice tautog for everyone.  A couple of the largest fish were released to swim again and weighed in at 13 and 14 pounds.

I had a great time over on the Pocomoke River with John Wittmyer from Crabs to Go and Captain CL Marshall of Tangier Sound Charters.  We had a nice catch of white perch and I threw a chunk of one on a Deadly Tackle Fish Finder rig and landed my personal best blue catfish of 15 pounds 6 ounces.  Should make for a great episode of Hooked on OC in a couple of weeks.
