I just got back from a busy day 1 of the OC Tuna Tournament at the Ocean City Fishing Center and there were some great fish that hit the leaderboard. There was a big bluefin that jumped into first place in the heaviest fish category, but it’s not out of reach. There were also some good stringers weighed, but there’s lots of fishing left and it could be anybody’s ballgame. Here’s who’s leading what after the first day of fishing. Thanks to the OC Fishing Center for the pics.

Away from the tournament there was some pretty good flounder fishing in the back bay today. Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break had a nice morning with a couple of keepers and then Mark Debinski of Bluewater Advisory put a keeper in the cooler this afternoon.

Shawn “Nature Boy” Flaherty had another awesome day fishing the back bay with his limit of flounder.

This crew fishing with Captain Nick from Mobsquad Fishing had a great day in the deep with some mahi, some blueline tilefish and some black belly rosefish.

Lamont Hilbert fished the south bay and landed three keeper flounder of 18″, 19″ and 20″.

Svend Sheppard used the Deadly Tackle Deadly Double in chartreuse to land his first keeper flounder of the season.
