You can definitely tell that the 4th of July Holiday is just days away as both land and water traffic are at summer highs. Kristen and I snuck out this morning early before all of the crowds and lucked into four keeper flounder in the east channel. The fish were 16.5″, 17″, 18″ and 18.5″ and were caught on live mullet on the Deadly Tackle Live Bait Rig.
Today was day two of the OCMC Canyon Kick Off Tournament and there were some more good fish brought to the scales. Check out the standings after two days of fishing. Thanks to Renee’ and the Club for the pics!
Young Tyler MacPherson took his first offshore trip of the season today and muscled in this nice 60 pound yellowfin tuna.
Danny McCubbin and Devon McCubbin joined forces to land this nice swordfish on an offshore trip today.
Jonathan Cinque and Cory Cinque fished the Washington Canyon where they found this estimated 35 to 40 pound barracuda.
Captain Tony Battista of Saltwater Adventures had a great trip this morning with some sea bass and some big triggerfish.
The MobSquad Fishing crew was out on the ocean again today and they found the fat sea bass waiting to be caught.
Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported a mixed bag today with sea bass and some limits of flounder around the rail.
Matthew Brannan, Mike Ahfeldt, Brian Brannan and Pro found a good sea bass bite over ocean structure.
This flounder landed in the net right before quitting time aboard the Tortuga out of Bahia Marina.
Reece Schindler, Chace Schindler and John found three keeper flounder of 16.5″, 18″ and 20″ while fishing the route 50 bridge.
