There hasn’t been too much fishing going on the past couple of day due to the rough conditions. The wind has been pretty steady and kept most anglers and party boats at the dock. The wind did lie down enough today for a few boats to give it a shot, but the bite was terrible to say the least. There are still fish being caught to our north off of Delaware and New Jersey so I’m confident that we’ll get another run of rockfish in the near future. And now that the sea bass season is going to close effective January 1, I’m sure the local party boats will be making some runs to get in on some last minute freezer fare.
The forecast looks pretty good for this week so I’ll let you know if anyone is able to get out.

I got the 2016 Fish in OC planner to the printer this week so I was able to take advantage of a little time off yesterday. It was the first day of MD muzzleloader and it was nice to get in the woods. Shooting time was over at 5:13 where I was last night and at 5:10 I stood up and started to get my stuff ready to go….that’s when I heard crunch, crunch, crunch. This nice nine point buck stepped into range and I was able to get a good shot off and harvest my personal best deer to date. It just goes to show you, when it comes to fishing, always leave your lines in until the buzzer and when it comes to hunting, don’t get down early.
