Drum and Rock in the Assateague Surf

Drum and Rock in the Assateague Surf

It started off pretty windy today, and we had a few rain showers pass through the area, but this afternoon that all cleared out and the day ended very nicely.  The ocean was mostly closed for business, but tomorrow looks nice for Mother’s Day.

Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters fished the OC Inlet for some tautog today and found three nice keepers for his folks to take home for dinner.

Kevin and Sean McNelis fished the Assateague surf this morning and were rewarded with a slot rockfish of 28.5″ and a nice black drum of 29″.
