Fall Stripers and Flounder

Fall Stripers and Flounder

Kristen and I just got back from the Ocean City Marlin Club’s end of season Marlin Party and we had a great time!  OCMC President Ryan Freese announced that there were over 2,800 billfish released by the OCMC fleet this summer!  Congratulation to everyone on a great season and have fun at tomorrow night’s awards.

It was another pretty windy day out there today, and it was a little chilly too.  I still don’t think anyone has been able to get back to the ocean to try for sea bass since the MD season opened back up last Friday and that sucks.  Thankfully there is some fishing going on in the bay.  Captain Jason Mumford and his crew on Lucky Break had a great day of flounder fishing around the route 50 bridge today with a bunch of throwback fish and these five keepers.

Brian Mills, Rick Gorsuch and Nolan had a great day at the route 50 bridge throwing soft plastics and catching some rockfish.  The guys released several fish and also caught keepers of 28″, 29″ and 30″.

Vincent Fick was rocking the Crocs when he caught this 18″ keeper flounder fishing from Homer Gudelsky Park in West Ocean City.
