First Mako in March…now Tunas?!?!

By Scott Lenox

First Mako in March…now Tunas?!?!

We already know that the first Mako of the season was caught last week and that’s unheard of for March.  Now we here that Tuna and Dolphin have showed up!

Last night a boat ventured out to the Baltimore Canyon on an overnight trip and returned to the dock with a nice Bluefin Tuna, several Yellowfin Tuna and some Dolphin!

They were fishing in 2,000 fathoms outside the Baltimore and found water as warm as 96 degrees.

The Yellowfin were caught on minnows and squid and the 125# Bluefin was enticed with a 6″ Gulp Swimmin Mullet.

Anglers included Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, Father Time, Mother Nature, Cupid and The Tooth Fairy.

Congratulations to the crew and Happy April Fool’s Day!!
