Flounder Action and The First Big Bluefish of the Season

Flounder Action and The First Big Bluefish of the Season

It was a little chilly out there today, but overall it was pretty pleasant with sunny skies and light winds.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters is having a great spring with good flounder fishing and some tautog action.  This morning it was seven keepers for his group and this afternoon it was more flounder and some tautog for one of his young anglers.

We haven’t seen a lot of bluefish around yet, but Terry Murray found a very nice fish while fishing the Indian River Inlet.  This big blue was 37″ long and weighed in at 14.2 pounds.

Joyce and Ron Andrews used Deadly Tackle Deadly Doubles behind Assateague Island today and had some nice keeper flounder from 16 1/4″ to 17 3/4″.
