Today’s weather ended up being a little nastier than expected with a pretty steady rain for most of the day and chilly temperatures. The wind wasn’t much of an issue so there were still some folks out bending a rod.
Captain Kane Bounds of the Fish Bound has had some very good tautog fishing as of late with lots of nice fish coming aboard. Captain Kane has been filling the box for his clients and they’ve also enjoyed catching and releasing some big fish. Big fish up to 18 pounds with 20 double digit fish released in the last couple of trips.
Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin Tides Charters had himself a day of tautog fishing as well with lots of 8-9 pound fish and two bruisers that were released at 18 and 20 pounds.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a shortened trip today thanks to the weather, but not before putting this young angler on a nice keeper flounder.
My buddy Randy Swain Jr. and his crew fished the Eastern Shore of VA and had a great time with 11 keeper flounder up to 23″.
Brian Reynolds fished the Assateauge Surf today and landed this nice 32 1/2″ “chopper” bluefish.
