It was a little breezy out of the south this afternoon, but that helped usher in some of the beautiful weather that we had today. Sunny skies and warm temps made for a pretty awesome day on the water.
I had the opportunity to head to Wachapreague, VA with my good friends Dale Timmons, Joey Marowski the third, the third and Captain Brian Behe of Buffalo Hunter Guide Service and we had an absolutely awesome day. We fished Drawing Channel for the majority of the day using Deadly Doubles baited with combinations of Otter Tails, Gulp and minnows and we slayed the flounder. We ended the day with a limit of 16 fish to as large as 21.5″. Joey had the hot stick today and his Deadly Tackle Deadly Double in orange was on fire!! Thanks to Captain Brian for another awesome Eastern Shore of VA flounder trip!
In Ocean City, Mike Johnston and Steve Billingsly were having an awesome day of flounder fishing themselves. Mike had what I think is the first personal limit of flounder catching four nice fish, and Steve added another three for a total of seven keepers. The action took place in the Thorofare on top and bottom rigs.
Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin’ Tides was out on the ocean after some tautog today and he found some nice fish for his crew. The guys had some very nice fish with the largest weighing in at 14.5 pounds.
